Overview

  • Employees may transfer to a new business unit during the Open Enrollment period.
  • If the new business unit becomes the employee’s Benefits Primary Job:
    • The OE BAS event in the old business unit must be voided.
    • CSUBASOE will then assign a new BAS Group ID and create a new OE BAS event under the new business unit.

Steps for the old business unit Benefits Office:

  1. Check the OE BAS event in On Demand Event Maintenance for any entered enrollments.
  2. Print out the enrollment details, if present.
  3. Void the OE BAS event.
  4. Provide the printed enrollment details to the new business unit Benefits Office.

Steps for the new business unit Benefits Office:

  1. Receive the printed enrollment details from the old business unit.
  2. Manually enter the employee’s enrollments on the new OE BAS event

Recommendation:

  • Incorporate these steps into the campus Transfer/Termination Checklist.
