Overview
- Employees may transfer to a new business unit during the Open Enrollment period.
- If the new business unit becomes the employee’s Benefits Primary Job:
- The OE BAS event in the old business unit must be voided.
- CSUBASOE will then assign a new BAS Group ID and create a new OE BAS event under the new business unit.
Steps for the old business unit Benefits Office:
- Check the OE BAS event in On Demand Event Maintenance for any entered enrollments.
- Print out the enrollment details, if present.
- Void the OE BAS event.
- Provide the printed enrollment details to the new business unit Benefits Office.
Steps for the new business unit Benefits Office:
- Receive the printed enrollment details from the old business unit.
- Manually enter the employee’s enrollments on the new OE BAS event
Recommendation:
- Incorporate these steps into the campus Transfer/Termination Checklist.
