CSU Paytape Balance by Agency

Updated on

Overview

This job aid shows campus users how to run the CSU Paytape Balance (Agency).

Background

The report defines how payroll balances (earnings, deductions, and taxes) from the SCO paytape are tied back to agency-specific codes in the CSU Labor Cost Distribution. Each SCO transaction is coded with an Agency Code, which identifies whether it belongs to a particular benefits or deduction agency (e.g., health, retirement, union dues). This mapping ensures that deductions and employer contributions get charged to the correct ChartFields and GL accounts.
