Find Employees with CSU ID Search

Overview

This job aid shows you how to find employees using CSU ID Search.

Step 1: Navigate to CSU ID Search page.

  • Menu > CSU ID Search.

Step 2: Enter the search criteria.

  • Empl ID
  • National ID
  • Date of Birth
  • First Name
  • Last Name

Search tips:

  • Search by First and Last name.
  • Add Date of Birth to the search if you have multiple returns.
  • Search by National ID if you have it. You need all nine digits for the search.

Step 3: Click Search.

  • The page displays the search results.

Step 4: Review the results:

  • EMPL Record: Matches the employee record in Job Data
  • Business Unit: the employee’s campus identifier (example: STCMP is Stanislaus).
  • Org Rel: Organizational Relationship (employee or person of interest)
  • POI Type: type of person of interest (example: retiree, emeritus faculty)
  • Status: Whether the employee or POI is active or inactive

Step 5: Click Detail to go to the Person organizational Summary page for that employee.

Step 6: Close the Person Org Summary tab to go back to CSU ID Search.

  • Do not click Return to Search because the button returns to the Person Org Summary search page.
