Maintain Security Clearance Records

Step 1: Navigate to Security Clearance.

  • Menu > Workforce Administration > Personal Information > Security Clearance

Step 2: Enter the criteria, then click Search.

  • If the search returns only one result, the Security Clearance page opens. Otherwise, select the employee to open the page.

Add a security clearance record

Fields with asterisks are required.

Step 1: Enter Security Clearance data:

Fields Guidelines
  1. Security Clearance Type

  2. Primary

  3. *Effective Date

  4. *Status

  5. *Clearance Number

  6. Expiration Date

  7. Sponsor 

Fields marked by asterisks are required.

  • Security Clearance Type: Use the value that is associated with the Position.

  • Primary: If there is only one security clearance type, it must be specified as Primary.

  • Effective date: Set to Hire Date.

  • Status: Active

  • Clearance number: Enter the vendor’s clearance number or the requisition number from CHRS Recruiting.

  • Expiration date: (Optional) enter date the clearance expires.

  • Sponsor: Enter the vendor that performed the background check.

Step 2: In the Background Investigation area, the investigation status and date.

  1. Select Approved
  2. Enter the approval date

Step 3: Click Save.

Save button
  • The security clearance record is saved.

Add another security clearance type

Use this procedure to add a new security clearance type.

Step 1: Click the Plus (+) button to add a new security clearance row.
