Overview
This job aid shows campus configuration specialists how to set up Transactional Front End (TFE) approval workflows.
Background
- Transactional Front End launches an approval workflow for job or position changes.
- The steps and the approvers are configured on two workflow tables (one for jobs and one for positions).
- You will set up a workflow for each of the following:
- TFE job approvals
- TFE position approvals
- ASM (Administrative Services Manager) Approvals
Guidelines
- You can configure separate workflows for each business unit, action, action reason contingency.
- The workflow can have up to seven levels excluding the final approver.
- The final approver is either Human Resources or Faculty Affairs. The final approver is not set up in this table.
- The ASM Manager Role has a separate setup table.
Users assigned the approval roles must have department security to the depts/employees for their roles.
