Overview
This job aid shows HR administrators how to change job funding with the Transactional Front End. Optionally, you can split funding sources by adding new rows.
Background
Transactional Front End (TFE) is a new interface that HR administrators can use to create and maintain staff jobs and positions (not students or temporary academic employment).
Change job funding with TFE
Step 1: On the Manager Self Service Homepage, click CSU Transactional Front End.
Step 2: Click CSU TFE Job Earns Distribution.
- Menu > Workforce Administration > CSU Workforce Admin Process > CSU Transactional Front End > CSU TFE Job Earns Distribution
Alternate navigation: Click the Navbar button.
- Menu > Workforce Administration > CSU Workforce Admin Process > CSU Transactional Front End > CSU TFE Job Earns Distribution
Step 3: Search for a job that you want to change.
Step 4: Click Select on the row that you want to change.
Step 5: Enter an Effective Date.
- Action and Reason Code are pre-populated.
- The read-only fields become editable.
Step 6: Complete the Earnings Distribution fields:
- Earn Dist Type
- Position Number
- Department
- Job Code
- Combination Code
Guideline: Earn Dist type can be:
- By Amount
- By Hours (hourly employees only)
- By Percent
Step 7: Optional: If the funding is split between sources, click the Plus button to add another funding source.
Step 8: Optional: Enter a Comment.
Step 9: Optional: Add an Attachment.,
Step 10: Click Submit.,
View transaction status for your job requests
If you have requested a job change, you can view the transaction status of your requests.
Step 1: Navigate to CSU TFE Job Change.
- Menu > Workforce Administration > CSU Workforce Admin Process > CSU Transactional Front End > CSU TFE Job Change
Step 2: Open the View an Existing Transaction tab.
Step 3: Enter search criteria to find existing transactions.
- Empl ID
- Emple Record
- Date
- Name
- Action
- Reason Code
- Department
- Job Code
- Workflow Status
- This example shows a search for transactions that were not submitted. If you started a transaction and then saved it as a draft, you can find the transaction by performing this search.
Step 4: Click Search.
- The page displays the search returns.
Step 5: Review the search returns.
Step 6: Optional: Click Select to open the transaction.
