General Information:

For Bargaining units, this is controlled by contract.
Applies after 5 consecutive working days.
Refer to the respective CBA for represented employees, for applicable policy for non-represented employees.
Refer to CA Ed Code 89541 that speaks to absence without leave. There is also CBA language that pertains to automatic resignations. Five consecutive days of unapproved/unauthorized leave is considered an automatic resignation.
