General Information:

When extending a temporary promotion, temporary reassignment or a temporary reclassification, Employment History Remarks must contain one of the following appropriate statements: ’EXT TEMP PROM’, ’EXT TEMP REASSG’, ’EXT TEMP RECLS’.

When extending a temporary promotion, temporary reassignment or a temporary reclassification for a temporary employee, the expiration date cannot be later than the appointment expiration date. If it is, process an REH/REH with a new appointment expiration date, not a DTA/EXT.

A DTA/EXT may not be used to move a temporary employee to a permanent promotion, reassignment or reclassification. Process an REH/REH with Empl_Class set to G - Regular.
