| Short Descr: | Interim |
| Definition: | An Interim appointment is used when the position is vacant, and the employee is serving until the position is filled. Although generally used for Dept Chair and MPPs it can apply to all employees, and should not be used for those in an Acting role. Interim vs Acting: Interim - the person is no longer active or in that position. The position is not occupied. Acting - the position is occupied, and the occupant is on leave etc., and a substitute is backfilling until the person returns. The person is no longer active or in that position. |
| General Information: | This is a new value for CHRS. As campuses go live in CHRS, they are expected to use this consistently even if a process change is needed. |
