Used for anyone on Positive Pay (paid with an hourly rate).
Applies to employees in any Job Code that is classified with an 'H' on the Job Code table, unless they are identified in one of the following Employee Classes:

  • Emergency Hire
  • Student
  • Rehired Annuitant
  • Immediate Pay
  • Immediate Pay/Rehired Annuitant
Definition:As campuses go live in CHRS, they are expected to use this consistently even if a process change is needed.

Comp Rate Code - always CSUHRLY
Employees in this Empl Class must always have an end date.

Applies to employees in any Job Code that is classified with an 'H' on the Job Code table, not otherwise identified in one of the following Employee Classes:

  • Emergency Hire
  • Student
  • Rehired Annuitant
  • Immediate Pay
  • Immediate Pay/Rehired Annuitant
Examples:Examples of employees in this class include:
1800-Casual Workers - The Casual Worker performs non-bargaining unit work that is temporary, part-time or intermittent in nature. Individuals appointed to the Casual Worker classification are intended to perform intermittent work of a limited duration, for example, to proctor an examination or model for an art class.
Also includes;  Ushers, Event Management, Squirrel Hunters, Models, Hourly Temp Custodians.
