This code is to be used when a promotion has gone through the recruitment process.

Business Rules:
  • Must satisfy three criteria:

1. Must go through recruitment; 
2. Applies only to  temporary employees;
3. Will be used to move nonacademic employees from one classification to another having a higher level of duties, responsibilities and/or salary range. Excludes academic employees.

Note:  Cannot be used if the employee had a non-temp appointment previously in their current record (previous A50).

  • Transition from A52 to A50. 

  • Used only for change from temporary appointment to probationary appointment via recruitment. 

  • Applies only to Staff and MPP employees. 

  • Percentage of increase may be driven by CBID.

  • Probation will change from 'None' to 'On Probation (XXX)'

  • Example: Temp ASA1 recruited for a probationary promotion ASA2.
