| General Information: | Used to place an eligible Unit 3 employee on a difference in pay (DIP) leave for a period not to exceed twelve months. The employee will receive a salary equal to the difference between full pay and that of a designated benchmark class. For information on DIP leaves, refer to the Payroll Processing Guidelines on the Systemwide Human Resources website. The employee must occupy an eligible 10-month or 12-month class. When processing a campus authorized DIP leave extension, enter a new PLA/DFM, enter the new Expected Return Date, and enter Article 28.2/MOU in Employment History Remarks. An employee must be reinstated before being placed on any other type of leave.
