LCD Combo Code Delete (CHRSMP3.00)

Overview

  • This job aid shows campus LCD users how to delete a combo code.
  • You can delete one or more combo codes from the system.

After a combo code has been deleted, it cannot be undeleted.

Delete an LCD Combo Code

Step 1: Open the Navbar button.

Step 2: Navigate to Menu > Set Up HCM > CSU Product Related Setup > CSU LCD Setup > CSU Combo Code Delete

Step 3: Search for your Run Control ID. If you do not have a run control ID, click Add a New Value to create one.

The run control should have your campus two digit code and be unique to you. Run Controls are not shared and should be specific to the person completing the process.

Step 4: Complete the required fields:

  • SetID
  • Combo Code Effdt
  • Department
  • Fund Code

Step 5: Optional: Complete other fields optionally to narrow the search:

  • Account
  • Program Code
  • Class Field
  • Project/Grant

Step 6: Decide whether to check the Preliminary Test check box.

  • Check this box to review changes before finalizing.
  • Clear the box to run the process and commit the changes.

If you run the process with the box checked, you must re-run the process with the box cleared to create the combo code.

Step 7: Click Search.

Step 8: Review the search result to ensure they display the exact combo codes that you want to delete.

Step 9: Check the Delete check box for the combo codes that you want to delete.

Exercise extreme caution to avoid unintentionally deleting the wrong combo code.

Step 10: Click Save.

Step 11: Click the Staged Combo Codes tab.

Step 12: Review the combo codes staged for deletion. If there are any errors, open the Combo Code Delete tab to correct them, then return here to review your changes.

Step 13: Click Run.

Step 14: On the Process Scheduler Request, click OK.

Step 15: Open Process Monitor.

Step 16: Click Refresh until the Distribution Status is Posted.

Step 17: Click the process name: CSUBE8CD.

Step 18: View the reports:

  1. Click the report.
  2. Click View Log/Trace.
  3. Click the report to view from the File List.

Report Purpose
CSUBE805 Provides a PDF Output Report regarding the errors that occurred or what was successfully updated. If the "Preliminary Test" box  was checked, then the successful report will have ""Preliminary" in the title.
CSUCCSYN
Confirms the Combo Code Sync process was able to run successfully.  
If the process is run with the "Preliminary Test" box checked, then you must run it again WITHOUT the "Preliminary Test" box checked to delete the Combo Code.
