Overview
This job aid shows payroll administrators how to view employee absence balances.
Select employees
The page displays a set of employees by default. You can select one or multiple employees from this list.
Step 1: Navigate to Balance Inquiry Payroll.
- Menu >Global Payroll & Absence Mgmt >CSU Absence Mgmt >CSU Payroll Balance Inquiry
Step 2: On the Payroll Balance Inquiry page select the As Of Date.
Step 3: Select filter criteria:
- Bus Unit
- Employee
- Job Code
- Dept ID
- Pay Group
- Unit
- Union Code
- Eligibility Group
- Reports To
Guideline: If you run the search without filters, the search will take a long time. The filters reduce the search to a manageable number of returns.
Step 4: Click Refresh Employees.
Step 5: Select employees:
- Select individual employees.
- Select All.
- Click Select All to select all direct reports (at the bottom of the page).
Step 6: Click Continue.
- Absence Balances are displayed.
View absence balances
Use the Year-End Projection report to track forfeitures and excess vacation.
Step 1: View Absence Balances.
- Review Sick, Vacation, and Personal Holiday balances.
- Optional: Click Details to view details for a single employee.
- Optional: Click the link to view the Graduated Vacation Chart.
Step 2: Click each tab to view:
- Compensatory Time balances
- Service Accrual balances
- PTO balances
- ETO balances
