Overview
This job aid shows CHRS Operations how to administer delegation approvals when the proxy approver cannot accept delegation.
Background
Currently, there is a known Oracle bug that prevents delegations from being accepted in certain scenarios. The proxy cannot find the delegation request to accept it. Until the bug is fixed, campuses will submit tickets to have CHRS Operations address the issue.
Determine approval status
You need to determine the approval status before you can choose a course of action.
Step 1: Click the Navbar button.

Step 2: Navigate to Menu > Workforce Administration > Self Service Transactions > Approvals and Delegation > Administer Delegation
Step 3: Enter the Proxy's Empl ID, then click Search.
Step 4: Open the Request Details tab.

Step 5: Confirm the Delegation Status is Inactive.

Step 6: Decide:
- If the Delegation Status is Inactive, continue to the next procedure.
- If the Delegation Status is Active, STOP. Go to AM Troubleshooting Guide.
Approve the delegation
If the delegation request status is inactive, you can proceed to approve it.
Step 1: Navigate to Menu > Enterprise Components > Approvals > Approvals > Monitor Approvals
Step 2: Search for the approval:
- Select "Delegation" in the Approval Process field.
- Enter the user ID of the employee requesting the delegation in the Requester field.
- Click Search.
Step 3: Select the transaction.
- The Monitor Approvals page opens, showing detailed content related to the transaction.

Step 4: Click Approve.
Confirm the approval
Step 1: Navigate to Menu > Workforce Administration > Self Service Transactions > Approvals and Delegation > Administer Delegation
Step 2: Enter the Proxy's EMPL ID, then click Search.
Step 3: Open the Request Details tab.

Step 3: On the Request Details tab, review the results to confirm the delegation request has a Delegation Status of "Active"
