General Information:

This is a restricted use action/reason that is used to process general salary increases (GSI) for rank and file employees that are authorized by the CSU - Board of Trustees.
The SCO and/or the Chancellor's Office will issue special instructions any time a general salary increase requires campus action.
A GSI is not posted for those employees on a true red circle per MOU unless the result of the GSI (Base Pay + Red Circle) puts the employee below the new salary range maximum. In this case, red circle amount is set to zero and Base Pay is set to the new salary.
If the employee remains over the salary range maximum, no GSI is applied and Base Pay is set to the new Salary Range Maximum with the remainder in Red Circle.
