Late Time Entry-Administrators

Overview

This job aid shows Payroll administrators how to set a retro trigger to correct accruals for late time entry.

Background

  • If an absence-eligible hourly employee enters time after the absence processing has finalized for the month (5th business day of the following month), the system does not automatically re-calculate accruals for the employee.
  • To resolve this problem, Payroll administrator can set a retro trigger, which causes the system to re-calculate accruals for that employee.
  • You can set the retro trigger by creating, approving, then deleting an absence during the applicable time period.

Create a retro trigger

 Step 1: Navigate to Absence Event.

  • Menu > Global Payroll & Absence Mgmt > Payee Data > Maintain Absences > Absence Event

Step 2: Search for the employee.

Step 3: Update the From and Through dates.

  • Set the From and Through dates to include the date for which you are going to create the absence.

Step 4: Click Refresh.

Step 5: Create an absence during the period of the late time entry.

  1. Select an Absence Take
  2. Select Begin Date
  3. Select End Date

Step 6: Click Forecast.

Step 7: Confirm that the Workflow Status is Approved.

  • You might need to scroll to the right to see this column.

Step 8: Click Save.

Step 9: Click the minus button to delete the absence.

Step 10: Click OK.

Delete current/selected rows from this page? The delete will occur when the transaction is saved. OK button, cancel button.

Step 11: Click Save.

  • You nave created a retro trigger.
