Absence Balance Inquiry (Manager / Timekeeper)

Timekeeper Absence Balance Inquiry

Overview

This job aid shows timekeepers how to view employee absence balances.

View employee absence balances

Step 1: Navigate to Timekeeper Balance Inquiry.

Navbar button

Menu > Manager Self Service > Time Management > CSU Time Keeper Balance Inquiry.

Step 2: On the Timekeeper Balance Inquiry page, select the As Of Date.

Step 3: Select filter criteria:

  • Bus Unit
  • Employee
  • Job Code
  • Dept ID
  • Pay Group
  • Unit
  • Union Code
  • Eligibility Group
  • Reports To

Guideline: If you run the search without filters, the search will take a long time. The filters reduce the search to a manageable number of returns.

Filters: The filters are listed in the Action column.

Step 4: Click Refresh Employees.

Step 5: Select employees:

  • Select individual employees.
  • Select All.
  • Click Select All to select all direct reports (at the bottom of the page).
Selected employees show white checkmark in blue box.

Step 6: Click Continue.

Continue

Absence Balances are displayed.

Step 7: View Absence Balances.

  1. Review Sick, Vacation, and Personal Holiday balances.
  2. Optional: Click Details to view details for a single employee.
  3. Optional: Click the link to view the Graduated Vacation Chart.

Information: The Details link shows information about Vacation time, sick time, personal holiday, vacation SS, CTO, Holiday CTO and ADO.

Step 8: Click each tab to view:

  • Compensatory Time balances
  • Service Accrual balances
  • PTO balances
  • ETO balances
