This job aid shows managers how to approve or deny their employee’s no leave taken (NLT) submission.

Approve or Deny No Leave Taken

STEP 1: On the Manager Self Service Homepage, click the CSU Approve/Request NLT tile.

STEP 2: Click CSU MSS Approve NLT.

If you have multiple jobs:

Complete the mult-job steps if you have multiple jobs at CSU.

Multi-job step 1: Select the job with direct reports that you want to approve, if you have multiple jobs.

  1. Select the job.
  2. Click Continue.

Multi-job Step 2: Select your business unit (campus).

Business Unit field

STEP 3: Optional - filter your results by Department, Manager, Unit, or Employee.

Dept ID, Unit, Manager ID, Empl ID fields

STEP 4: Select the employees to approve or deny.

You can select individual employees, or use the Select All button to select all employees.

STEP 5: Optional: Scroll to the right to enter a Comment.

Comment field

STEP 6: Take action on selected employees: Click Approve or Needs Correction.

  • Approve approves No Leave Taken
  • Needs Correction denies No Leave Taken. The user can submit an absence. The employee cannot resubmit NLT.
