During the recruitment process, the recruiter moves the applicant to the Hiring Manager Review status. The application status change automatically shortlists the applicant and assigns the applicant to the Hiring Manager for review.
The Hiring Manager reviews the shortlisted applicant and decides whether to move forward with the applicant or not. The Hiring Manager’s decision (for example, pass or fail) automatically updates the application status.
Recruitment continues only for applicants who pass the initial review.
How to Shortlist Applicants
The recruiter can individually select or bulk select applicants to move. Use this procedure to individually move applicants.
- On the Manage Applications page, click the application status to change it.

- Select an application status that is configured for hiring manager shortlisting. This status will vary by Recruitment process.
- Click Submit.
How to Review Shortlisted Applicants
The Hiring Manager dashboard displays a notification regarding new applicants that await review. The Hiring Manager reviews the application and related documentation, performs an initial review, and then decides whether to proceed with that applicant or not. That decision automatically updates the application status.
- Hiring Managers use the following procedure to shortlist applicants.
- From the Hiring Manager Dashboard, click Jobs have applications for review on the Applications tile.
- The Shortlisted applicants page opens.

- Click View shortlisted applicants for the applicable job.
- The View shortlisted applicants page opens.
- On the View shortlisted applicants page, you can view the application responses, notes, and the history of status changes for the application.
- The View shortlisted applicants page opens.
- Select a response from the Selection Criteria Outcome menu.
- Click Submit (at the top of the page).
