Enter Time for Employees

This job aid shows managers how to enter time for their employees.
Enter Elapsed Time for Employees
Use this procedure to enter elapsed time for your employees.
STEP 1: Navigate to Timesheet.
Menu > Manager Self Service > Time Management > Report Time > Timesheet

STEP 2: Enter search criteria for the employee to enter time for.
- Time Reporter Group
- Employee ID
- Empl Record
- Last Name
- Job Code
- Department
- Workgroup

STEP 3: Click Get Employees.

STEP 4: Click the Employee’s last name to open that employee’s timesheet.

STEP 5: If needed, navigate to the appropriate pay period:
- Select the Date.
- Click the Refresh icon to update the timesheet to the selected date.
- Click Previous Week or Next week to select the week within that period.

STEP 6: Select the Time Reporting Code.
- See Appendix A: List of Timesheet TRCs for more information.

STEP 7: Enter the hours worked for each day.

STEP 8: Click Submit.

STEP 9: Click OK.

STEP 10: Review the Reported Time Status table.
- Optionally, click the comment icon to add comments.

STEP 11: Optional: Click Previous Employee or Next Employee to select another employee.

Enter Punch Time for Employees
Use this procedure to enter time-clock entries for your employees.
STEP 1:Navigate to Timesheet.

Menu > Manager Self Service > Time Management > Report Time > Timesheet
STEP 2: Enter search criteria for the employee to enter time for.
- Time Reporter Group
- Employee ID
- Empl Record
- Last Name
- Job Code
- Department
- Workgroup

STEP 3: Click Get Employees.

STEP 4: Click the Employee’s last name to open that employee’s timesheet.

STEP 5: If needed, navigate to the appropriate pay period:
- Select the Date.
- Click the Refresh icon to update the timesheet to the selected date.
- Click Previous Week or Next week to select the week within that period.

STEP 6: Select the time reporting code.

STEP 7: Enter times in the In and Out fields.
- If you are entering data with a 12 hour format, AM and PM are required.
- You do not need to enter seconds. If you enter 9:00 AM, the system converts the time to 9:00:00AM.

STEP 8: Optional: Select a Taskgroup.
Guidelines
- For default templates, taskgroups are optional.
- However, if your campus requires you to use a template in which taskgroup is required, then you must select a taskgroup.

STEP 9: Click Submit

STEP 10: Click OK.

STEP 11: Click OK.

STEP 12: Optional: Review the Reported Time Summary.
