Overview
This job aid shows employees how to define goals for their ePerformance evaluations.
Background
During the Goal-setting phase, the manager and employee will have the opportunity to add goals, review competency information, and add professional development for the evaluation period. This phase will be used as a tool to assist employees in meeting their yearly goals and should be used as an opportunity for employee and manager to discuss their expectations for the year.
Define your goals
Use this procedure to define your personal goals for the year.
Step 1: On your Employee Self Service homepage, click the Performance tile.

Step 2: Click My Current Documents.

Step 3: Click the row to select the Annual Evaluation for that employee.
Step 4: Under Goal Setting, click Update.

Step 5: On the Goals tab, click Add Goal.
Step 6: Select Add your own goal, then click Next.

Step 7: Complete the Add Your Own Goal form:
- Enter a title (Required)
- Enter optional information:
- Description
- Status
- Due Date
- Start Date
- End Date
- Click Add.

You can create professional development goals for your yourself.
Step 1: Click the Prof Development tab.

Step 2: Click Add Professional Development.
Step 3: Select "Add your own Professional Development," then click Next.

Step 4: Complete the form:
- Enter a title (Required).
- Enter a description (Optional).
- Click Add.

Step 8: When you are finished with your goals, click Save.
