Respond to Pushback Absence Request

This job aid shows employees how to respond to absence pushback from your manager.

Background

If you submitted an absence to your manager, your manager can push back. If your manager pushes back, it means you need to review and potentially adjust your absence dates.

Adjust and resubmit absence dates

Use this procedure to adjust the absence dates for the absence that your manager pushed back.

Step 2: Identify the absence that was pushed back.

Step 3: Click the absence link to open it for editing.

Step 3: Update the date for absence if needed.

If you need to make other adjustments to your absence, such as absence type, see: Request and Enter Absences

Step 4: Click the Forecast button.

Step 5: If the forecast was successful, click OK.

Step 6: Click Submit.

Step 7: Click OK to confirm the submission.

Your manager can review and approve your updated absence request.
