Overview
This job aid shows employees how to find and use the Compensation History page.
Background
- The Compensation History page displays your initial hiring rate of pay as of the date your campus went live with PeopleSoft HR, as well as any compensation history stored in CHRS, including changes to your pay over time. Check with your campus Human Resources office to confirm your PeopleSoft and CHRS conversion dates.
- The page shows your whole base pay (FTE 1.0), not your actual FTE. FTE stands for Full Time Equivalent (FTE 1.0 = 40 hours per week).
View your compensation history
Step 1: Open the Navbar button.
Step 2: Navigate to Menu > Self Service > Payroll and Compensation > Compensation History
Step 3: Select the job for which you want to see your compensation history.
Step 4: Optional: Change your Salary Frequency. Example: you want to see your hourly rate instead of your annual rate.
- Select the Salary Frequency from the left side of the page.
- Click Apply
Step 5: Review the information.
- Optional: Click View Chart to view a chart of your compensation history.
- Optional: Click a row to see Salary Change Details details for that row.
CHRS conversion data retains job history for only six years prior to November 2023, meaning there might be a gap in your compensation history. You will see your initial hire rate and only compensation history after 2017. You can check with your Human Resources office to confirm your campus PeopleSoft and CHRS conversion dates and obtain any additional information needed for those gap years.
