Overview
This job aid shows TAE administrators how to push back and delete transactions from the Transaction Status page.
IMPORTANT: Completing a pushback or deletion from the Transaction Status page is outside of the approval processes. Use this procedure only when intervention is necessary and you cannot access the step from My Approvals.
Requirements
You must have the CHR_TF_Transaction_Status role to complete the task.
Search for appointment transactions
Step 1: Navigate to CSU TAE Transaction Status.
- Menu > CSU Temp Academic Employment > CSU TAE Approval Workflow > CSU TAE Transaction Status
Step 2: Verify that the Business Unit is correct.
Step 3: Enter the EE Group.
- Optional: refine the search by using these fields:
- Dept ID
- Job Code
- Term
- Session Code
- Approver ID
- Empl ID
- Position Nbr
- Submitter ID
- Lookback Dt (default 30 days)
- Appt#
Step 4: Click Search.
- The page displays a list of open approval records.
Push back a transaction
Step 1: Open the Approval tab.
Step 2: Click the Pushback lookup to select a prior step in the workflow.
- Click the lookup (magnifying glass) to select a value.
Step 3: Select the appropriate step in the workflow to push back to.
- Select the step in which the revision is required.
- If you select 0, send an email directly to the originator.
Step 4: Enter a valid reason in the Reason field.
Step 5: In the Comments section, indicate the approver on whose behalf you are pushing back.
- The comments field is visible to the approvers, so use this field to relay information.
- Include the reason for the pushback and the name of the approver on whose behalf you are executing the pushback.
- Keep comments within the character limit.
Step 6: Click Save & Submit.
- The system reverts the workflow to the specified prior step.
Delete a transaction
IMPORTANT: Do not delete a transaction after a notification has been sent.
Step 1: Open the Navigation tab.
Step 2: Inspect the EE Notif Date column.
- If the cell has a date, STOP.
- ONLY if the cell is blank, proceed.
Step 3: Open the Approval tab.
Step 4: Check the delete box for the transaction that you need to delete.
Step 5: Enter a reason for the deletion.
Step 6: Click Submit.
- The transaction is deleted.
