Overview
This job aid shows campus Recruiting administrators how to use a Shared Service Account.
Use a Shared Service Account when scheduling Recruiting inbound or outbound processes or reviewing associated log files that require privileged access.
Background
Authorized campus users can switch to a Share Service Account with access to recruiting inbound and outbound services.
Campuses can use a Shared Service Account in CHRS to do the following:
- Schedule recruiting inbound processes
- Schedule recruiting outbound processes
- Review inbound/outbound log files
Perform only the required task while using the Shared Service Account, then immediately return to your personal account.
Access
Before you can use a Shared Service Account, your campus must submit a service ticket requesting that CMS create the account.
Use a Shared Service Account
Step 1: Open the CSU Administrator Homepage.
Step 2: On the Privileged Access tile, click Switch Identity.
Step 3: Click the Reason Search field.
Step 4: Select 10 - Recruiting Administration.
The Reason is for auditing purposes.
Step 5: Click the Shared Service Account.
- You are now operating the Shared Service Account.
- You can complete operations that are authorized for the shared service account.
Remember to return to your normal account after you complete the privileged operation.
Return to your normal account
When you are finished with your shared service account business, return to your normal account.
Step 1: Open the CSU Administrator Homepage.
Step 2: Click Back to: [your operator ID] on the CSU Administrator Homepage to return to your normal account.
