Unique ID automatically assigned by PeopleSoft for each employee.  This represents a non-confidential ID that can be used for reporting to outside entities for unique identification.  As records are converted into CHRS, every EMPLID will renumbered.

Valid Value Rule(s):
  • Every employee, active and separated, has a unique identification number.
  • Accept default (system assigned ID)
  • Last Empl ID Used field is located in the Installation Table - Last ID Assigned tab.
  • When adding a new employee and using system assigned IDs, the field displays the value “NEW” until you save the record.
  • Unique ID automatically assigned by PeopleSoft for each employee.  This represents a non confidential ID that can be used for reporting to outside entities for unique identification.
  • As records are converted into CHRS, every EMPLID will be renumbered.
  • In Position Data you will only see Active employees however all employees are required (Active and Separated) to have an EmplID.  Position history stores all separated incumbent EmplIDs.
  • Empl ID as defined above may also be known as CHRS ID, CHRS Empl ID.

Notes on related items:  
•    The CS Empl ID will not match the Empl ID in CHRS.
•    OPRID is the same as User Profile ID.
•    User Profile ID is the employee campus assigned ID preceded by the 2-character Campus Code.
•    User Profile is the security profile used for system access, made up of the employee OPERID + CHRS Empl ID + other values.
•    Duplicate IDs – the employee exists with one or more Empl ID in CHRS (Ex: SSN is incorrectly entered the first time).  To determine which is the duplicate and should be deleted, use the following criteria:     

     -No job record (POI only) 
      -No work email generated 
Then:
      -Consolidate both records into a single record 
      -Submit a ticket to CMS to delete the invalid Empl ID
