Type of Organizational Relationship for that person.

Field Characteristic	Description
Valid Value Rule(s):	Select for all employees hired by Human Resources You can only select one relationship when creating the Personal Data record, but can create additional relationships directly from the modules, ‘New Employment Instance’ (for example, Student to Employee). If you create a person but do not create and save a job data record, PS will save the person as a POI Type of ‘Unknown’. When you do create and save a record for the person on the Add an Employment Instance module, the system will delete the Unknown POI without job instance for that person.

Impacted Fields:	Required Field This field (combined with Contingent Worker and Person of Interest) determines the Organizational Relationship for a person.
Impacted Processes:	Determines which tables a person appears on, and allows job data entry for “Employee” and “Contingent Worker” Org Relationship types
System Audits:	Required: If “Add a Relationship” is clicked but an Organizational Relationship is not selected, error: “An Organizational Relationship must be created for this Person. (1000,1176)”
