Date of birth for the employee.

Valid Value Rule(s):
  • Conditional. May enter date as part of separation transaction. Do not enter a date of death subsequent to processing a separation transaction in PeopleSoft.  
  • Date must be greater than Date of Birth
  • For current employees, a Termination/Death job row must be entered in Job Data and a PPT generated for Payroll.
  • For former employees, a Data Change/Employee History Remarks job row must be entered in Job Data and a PPT generated for Payroll, with an Effective Date = Date of Death

Required to print PPT.  Not required at Pre-Intake (if blank, set Benefit System in Job Data as ‘Base Benefits’ and correct to ‘Benefits Administration’ after Date of Birth is populated).

Warning when Adding a Person and Date of Birth was not entered.  Okay to ignore.

Warning -- Birthdate should be entered for employee. (1000,167)
Birthdate is needed in PS/Payroll, PS/PayLink, and PS/Benefits modules to calculate the employee's age. Age may be used to determine premiums or eligibility for the benefit.
Enter the Birthdate now if you have the information. Otherwise, obtain the information and then update the employee's record.
