Position Pool ID

In conjunction with the Dept ID, links labor costs to the financial account to be charged for the position. Position pools enable grouping of related positions together for budgeting purposes. Links labor costs to the financial account to be charged for the position. Governed by SetID/Dept. Not used for all positions or all campuses.

  • When a Dept ID is modified, Position Pool ID blanks out and must be re-entered.

When changing a Dept ID, warning:

“Position Pool ID must be updated to reflect changed Department ID. (1500,85)

You have changed the Department ID for this position.  You should now ensure that a valid Position Pool ID is also specified if one exists, as the previous Position Pool may not be valid for the new Department ID you have selected.”

NO WARNING/ERROR when Position Pool ID is left blank, however, it is required for LCD.
