• Benefits Administration:  default value if selected on the Installation Table.  Accept default.
• Base Benefits:  select if staff/MPP employee's Gender or Date of Birth are left blank at initial entry of Hire action.

If manually changing to Base Benefits: 

     If someone has two Empl Rcd#s and one has a different Benefits System, receive warnings below:

“Warning -- Benefit System not unique for current jobs with same Benefit Record Number. (3000,557) 
This employee has current jobs in the same Benefit Record which are managed by different Benefit Systems. Verify that this is correct.”

“Warning -- The Benefits Administration Eligibility criteria are not relevant for this Benefits System 2008-12-01. (4000,127) 
Data entry has been made into the Benefits Administration product-specific Eligibility fields for this Job, even though the Benefit System is not set to ‘Benefits Administration’. These fields are reserved for use by the Benefits Administration product, and, in fact, could be altered by the system without notice by future product features. Their use outside of Benefits Administration is not formally supported and is at the client's own risk.”

If manually changing to Not Managed by Peoplesoft:

1. f selected, will receive error: 

“Benefit System cannot be set to ‘Not Managed by Peoplesoft’ when Payroll for North America is chosen as Payroll System (3000,755)

The Benefit System needs to be either Base Benefits or Benefits Administration for this Payroll System.   Please correct the Benefit System on the Employee job record.”
