Field CharacteristicDescription
Valid Value Rule(s):
  • Red Circle Rate:  The employee’s salary rate that is over the salary range maximum of a given classification or skill level. The red circle rate is granted when an employee moves to a classification or skill level with a salary range maximum that is lower than the employee’s current salary rate. The purpose of a red circle rate is to reduce the adverse financial impact on the employee when the employee is moved to a classification or skill level with a lower salary range.
  • When an employee has a red circle date set, Anniversary Code must be set to MAX or NONE per MOU.
  • Certain salary increases are not permitted when an employee is on red circle rate status.
  • If no true Red Circled salary expiration date is applicable (MPP, C99, R03), enter the date the salary exceeded the salary range maximum.
