Salary Admin Plan

Identifies common parameters that characterize the salary plan relating to Job Code, Grade and Step. Defaults from Job Code.

  • All values provided through Salary Schedule Load from the SCO.
  • Defaults from Job Code and Grade.  
  • Should not be overridden.
  • Accept default value from Position Management.
  • Can be overridden without clicking on Position Override button.

Impacted Fields:

Grade, Grade Entry Date

Salary Plan is associated with one or more Salary Grades.  Salary range minimum and maximum values are defined in the Salary Grade, and are managed through the CSU Salary Schedule updates.

Impacted Processes:None
System Audits:
  • Error if saving job row with incorrect Salary Administration Plan.  This may occur if using a position with an outdated value or if ‘Include Salary Plan/Grade’ is not selected in Position Data.
  • “Salary Plan entered for Job Code is incorrect.  Please change Salary Plan to ### on Effective Date, M/D/YYYY, and Effective Sequence , # (25000,25).
  • Salary Admin Plan on Job row is not equal to Salary Admin Plan defined on Job Code Table.”
