Max Head Count

The maximum number of employees for the position. Current values range from 1 to 9999. Maximum Head Count should always be '1' if the position has other positions reporting to it.

Warning upon save in Job Data if number of employees in a position exceeds Max Head Count:

“Warning -- Head count of 2 exceeds maximum head count of 1 for position. (1000,156)

When Position Management is installed, head counts for each position are compared to the maximum head count on the Specific Information page. Correct position number, change maximum to allow an additional incumbent, or leave as is.”

Must be 1 or greater – if zero is entered, system corrects to 1.

Add/Update Position Info page allows the Max Head Count to be less than the actual number of employees in that position.
