Securing Data: Set Up Organization Defaults

Set up Org Defaults

Step 1: Navigate to Org Defaults by Permission List

  • Menu > Set Up HCM > Foundation Tables > Organization > Org Defaults by Permission List

Step 2: Search for your permission list.

Step 3: Select the permission list from the search results.

  • The Defaults page opens.

Step 4: Complete the fields on the Defaults page using campus values:

  • Business Unit: [your campus]
  • SetID: [your campus]
  • Company: [your campus]
  • Country: USA
  • Regulatory Region: USA
  • To Currency: USD
  • Currency Rate Type: OFFIC
  • Name Format: English
  • Open the Settings page

Step 5: On the Settings page:

  • Enable Carry ID
    • Carry ID: When you select this check box, the system uses the EmplID search key that you are currently using on subsequent menus.
  • Payroll System: Other.
  • Leave the other fields with defaults.

Step 6: Click Save.

  • You have saved your organizational defaults to your permission list. Your permission list is now ready to use for authorizing data security.
